ONLINE PAYMENTS

Do to the preparation and delay in mailing of the tax bills, the grace period for the August, QTR 3 payment will be extended to September 5, 2023. 

Please note that payments must be received in the tax office on or before the grace period or interest must be charged, regardless of the postmark.

Interest, when charged is calculated from the statuary (original) due date.

 PAYMENTS

Payments can be accepted in person or by mail.  Checks should be made payable to the Borough of Surf City. If you are paying through your bank online, please include your Block and Lot as your account number. Please allow enough time for your bank to send the check to our office; this could take an estimated 7 to 10 business days. To avoid interest, payments must be received in our office by the 10th of the month.  If the 10th falls on a weekend or holiday, the next business day is the end of the grace period. Postmarks are not accepted.

There is a return Check Fee of $20.00 for any check or draft returned unpaid for any reason.

For a receipt, send in your stub with your check and a self-addressed stamped envelope.
For your convenience, a drop box for payments is located outside the main entrance of Borough Hall.  Be sure to put your payment and tax stub in a sealed envelope before placing it in the drop box.

Property Deductions

Property Tax Deduction for Veteran, Widow of Veteran, Disabled Veteran: $250.00

**Property Tax Deduction for Senior Citizen, Surviving Spouse of a Senior: $250.00

**Annual income does not exceed $10,000 after permitted exclusions.

 Deduction forms may be obtained by clicking the name of the deduction form below or

from the Tax Collector’s Office. 

Forms must be submitted in person to the Tax Office
