The Borough of Surf City’s governing body regular meeting is scheduled on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 813 Long Beach Boulevard, Surf City, NJ. The reorganization and regular meetings have been scheduled for January 2, 2024, at 10:00 am.

2024 Ordinances

Authorizes spending for an ambulance for the SCVF & EMS #1.

Authorizes spending for road reconstruction projects.

Amends the noise ordinance in the business zone.

Authorizes the spending for a lifeguard truck.

Authorizes a 3.5 % increase in the budget for said year, amounting to $249,900.00 over the increase in final appropriations otherwise permitted by the Local Government Cap Law.

This ordinance determines whether the proposed work constitutes substantial improvement or repair of substantial damage.

This ordinance removes the 24 seat cap on the existing outdoor dining ordinance for restaurants.

This ordinance removes the term certificate of occupancy and replaces it with the term resale certificate. 

This ordinance provides for the new pickleball courts and allows the Council to create rules and regulations by Resolution.

This ordinance amends the stormwater chapter, as required by the NJDEP.

This ordinance amends rules for signage in the business zone.

This ordinance amends rules for private salt storage, as the NJDEP requires.

This ordinance authorizes spending on repairing and repainting the N. 14th Street Water Tower.

This ordinance provides regulations for tree removal.
